The World Bank announced today it intends to call all the remaining outstanding 8-1/4 percent Twenty-Five Year U.S. Dollar Bonds of 1977, due May 1, 2002, $158 million principal amount at the price of 102.5 percent of the principal amount plus accrued interest to the redemption date, in accordance with the redemption provisions of the bonds. All bonds will be redeemed on July 24, 1992. Bondholders will be sent a formal redemption notice on or about June 23, 1992.
