The World Bank announced today it intends to call all the outstanding principal amount of the 5-7/8 percent Twenty-Six Year U.S. Dollar Bonds of 1967, due September 1, 1993, $79.5 million principal amount, at a price of 100 percent of par. All the bonds will be redeemed on March 1, 1992. Bondholders will be sent a formal redemption notice on or about January 27, 1992. Interest on the bonds will cease to accrue on the redemption date.
