World Bank Issues Private Placement of Deutsche Mark 200 Million Notes

The World Bank issued today a DM200 million ($110 million) private placement of notes through an international consortium of savings banks lead managed by Deutsche Girozentrale-Deutsche Kommunalbank. Interest on the notes is 5.50 percent, payable annually on February 26. The issue is priced at 100.25 percent for a yield to investors of 5.38 percent on a semi-annual coupon equivalent basis. The notes will be repaid at par on February 26, 1993 and are non-callable.

Proceeds of the issue will be used in the general operations of the World Bank.
