Djibouti - Sustainable Electrification Program
IDA Credit: US$23.3 million equivalent
Credit maturity: 25 years, Grace period: 5 years

Project Description: The project will increase access to electricity to the poorest segments of the Djiboutian population in two areas: Balbala, a slum near Djibouti‐city, and the country’s interior regions. In parallel, a technical assistance will finance a national distribution master plan to support the Government’s efforts to achieve universal electricity access by 2035.
