PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Building on four preceding PRSCs, PRSC5 is the first to support Uganda's third Poverty Eradication Action Plan (PEAP) approved by Cabinet in November 2004. The PRSC supported program continues to be at the center o f the Bank's support for Uganda as spelled out in the new Uganda Joint Assistance Strategy (UJAS) developed jointly with partners. The PRSCs support four of the five pillars of the Poverty Eradication Action Plan: Economic Management; Enhance Production, Competitiveness and Incomes; good governance; and human development.
