The Upper Egypt Local Development Program (UELDP) is helping unlock the region’s economic potential by improving infrastructure, strengthening local governance, and supporting local businesses.
With over 5,000 infrastructure and service projects completed or underway, more than 71,000 jobs created, and 8.2 million people benefiting across Sohag, Qena, Assiut, and Minya, the program demonstrates how strategic investments and empowered governorates can deliver lasting improvements in daily life and economic opportunity for communities across Upper Egypt.
