On 24 February 2026, the World Bank Group Paris Office was honoured to receive H.E. Michaël Randrianirina, President of the Refoundation of the Republic of Madagascar, for a high‑level roundtable on Madagascar’s development prospects.

Convened by H.E. Éléonore Caroit of France, Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad, the meeting brought together officials from the Malagasy delegation and representatives of key bilateral and multilateral partners, foundations, and civil society organizations.

The roundtable provided a constructive platform for President Randrianirina and the Malagasy authorities to present the country’s development priorities, and for partners to share perspectives on their ongoing and future engagement in Madagascar.
