With tenders worth approximately USD 11 billion per year, WBG projects offer numerous opportunities for international contracts. Over the past year, the WBG has reformed its procurement process, placing greater emphasis on quality criteria and expanding market dialogue prior to tenders. The implementation of these reforms creates new opportunities for German companies to successfully participate in WBG project tenders.
With the roadshow planned for 2026, the WBG, in cooperation with the Agency for Business and Economic Development (AWE) and Germany Trade & Invest, aims to conduct a targeted and comprehensive outreach program in various cities across Germany to bridge the gap between German companies and WBG procurement opportunities. In this kick-off webinar of the roadshow, WBG experts will provide an overview of the key procurement reforms and present concrete market opportunities for German companies. In addition, company representatives will share practical insights and successful strategies for participating in WBG projects.
