On 8 January 2026, the World Bank Group Paris Office and the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) hosted the seminar “The Economics of Nature: Evidence and Emerging Coalitions for Sustainable Growth.” The event was opened by Éléonore Caroit, Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, responsible for Francophonie, International Partnerships, and French Nationals Abroad, and chaired by Martin Raiser, World Bank Senior Representative for European Economic Cooperation. The seminar opened with presentations of two reports: Reboot Development: The Economics of a Livable Planet by Richard Damania, Chief Economist for Sustainable Development at the World Bank, and Global Action Without Global Governance by Beatrice Weder di Mauro, President of CEPR, followed by a discussion with Jeromin Zettelmeyer, Director of Bruegel, and Marie Lam Frendo, Chief Strategy Officer of Meridiam.
