The Water and Development Congress & Exhibition 2025 will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand, from 8 to 12 December 2025. Building on the success of the 2023 edition in Kigali, Rwanda, which brought together nearly 2,700 participants from 85 countries, the Congress has established itself as a leading global forum for water, sanitation, and climate resilience in low- and middle-income countries.

Co-hosted with the Asian Institute of Technology, this edition will explore the theme “Water, Sanitation, and Innovation – Pathways to Progress and a Resilient Future.” The Congress will convene policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and private sector leaders to share knowledge, showcase innovations, and advance solutions for sustainable water and sanitation systems.

The programme is structured around five thematic tracks: Safe Drinking Water, Wastewater Treatment and Sanitation Services, Smart Water Management, Utility Management and Operations, and Governance and Financial Systems for Long-Term Development. Participants will engage through technical sessions, workshops, and forums, including the special platform “From Land to Sea: Tackling Pollutants, Protecting Health, and Restoring Ecosystems.”

Alongside the programme, the Congress will feature a dynamic Exhibition, highlighting cutting-edge technologies, products, and services. By fostering collaboration across sectors, the event will provide an inclusive, action-oriented platform to promote innovation, strengthen partnerships, and advance practical pathways toward resilient and equitable water and sanitation solutions worldwide.
