Türkiye: World Bank Business Outreach Seminar for Construction Contractor Companies in Ankara, Türkiye will occur on December 2, 2025.

The World Bank (WB) Türkiye office, in collaboration with the Public Procurement Authority of Türkiye (PPA), is conducting a Business Outreach Seminar in Ankara for construction companies.

The seminar will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, 1:30-5:30pm, at the premises of Türkiye Odalar ve Borsalar Birligi -TOBB (Union of Chambers & Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye), Mustafa Kemal Mah., Dumlupınar Bulvarı No: 252 (Eskişehir Yolu 9 Km), Gate No: G3, Security Point T1, Ankara.

H.E. Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Treasury and Finance, has kindly agreed to grace the event with his presence.

Why attend the World Bank Business Outreach Seminar?

The World Bank finances over 1500 active Investment projects globally with total net commitment value of about US$250 billion. In Türkiye there are currently 38 active investment projects with total net commitment value of about $15 billion. Every WB-financed project involves extensive procurement of Works, Goods and Services, creating significant opportunities for contractors, suppliers, and consultants.

The Seminar will provide information about the World Bank Group, overview of WB’s Procurement Regulations and recent enhancements, business opportunities available under WB-financed projects and how to find them, tips for competing better in WB-financed tenders, as well an update on the recent upgrading of Türkiye’s e-Government Procurement system (EKAP).

Objective of the Seminar:

The Seminar aims to increase participation of Turkish construction companies in WB-financed civil works procurement not only in Türkiye but globally, and it will also be useful for construction companies based in other countries who are interested in doing business and investing in Türkiye through participation in WB-financed procurement. The objective is to enhance competition in WB-financed procurement of civil works while enabling the construction companies to benefit from the vast business opportunities available under WB-financed projects.

Who can participate in the Seminar?

The Seminar is open to participation by construction firms based in Türkiye and in other countries. It will be conducted through hybrid mode allowing option for participating in-person or virtually through on-line connection. Firms based in Türkiye and particularly in Ankara, are encouraged to participate in-person by nominating a key representative of the firm to attend the Seminar at the specified venue. Construction firms who choose to participate virtually through on-line connection, a Zoom link with connection details will be sent to the firms.

Registration required to participate in the Seminar:

Construction firms interested in participating in the Seminar are required to register by submitting, no later than November 24, 2025, the registration form provided in the link below, nominating one (1) key representative of the firm to attend, either in-person or through on-line Zoom.

Please note that due to space limitation, only one (1) representative of each company can attend in-person. Spaces for in-person attendance will be allocated on first-come-first-serve basis upon receipt of the expressions of interest through the registration link. The firms that could not be accommodated space for in-person attendance, and the firms that expressed interest in attending on-line, will be sent the Zoom meeting link by November 27, 2025, to the email address provided by the firm in the registration form.
