On November 4, Carlos Felipe Jaramillo, World Bank Vice President for East Asia and Pacific, and Akihiko Nishio, World Bank Vice President of Development Finance, and their team visited Japan for recruitment of Japanese staff. They made a courtesy visit to Yukihiko Akutsu, Chair of the Committee on Financial Affairs of the House of Representatives, and Shuji Miyamoto, Chair of the Committee on Financial Affairs of the House of Councillors, and expressed their appreciation for the Japanese cooperation with the World Bank Group, and exchanged views on the efforts to increase the number of Japanese staff working for the World Bank.
