The Government of Sint Maarten has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Sint Maarten: Wastewater Management Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Worls for Construction and operation of sewage network & WWTP in Sint Maarten.
The National Recovery Program Bureau (NRPB) intends to conduct an Early Market Engagement to establish the level of market interest in participating in the procurement process for contract number SX-NRPB-388584-CW-RFB Construction of sewage network & WWTP in Sint Maarten to extend the coverage of piped gravity sewer to areas not covered by the existing sewerage network and to upgrade/optimize the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) with operational readiness to accommodate the increased sewage flow from residences/institutions/businesses that will be received at the plant in the near future through the extended sewer network. It is expected that the Request for Bids will be made in April 2026.
NRPB is running the present Early Market Engagement exercise on behalf of the Government of Sint Maarten. NRPB is inviting suitably qualified and experienced bidders who may have an interest in this project to complete a questionnaire to assist us to gain a better understanding of the feasibility of their requirements, to find the most appropriate approach, to seek the capacity of the market to deliver and to identify any possible risks or issues that may not have previously been considered.
