  • The World Bank Group hosted the 12th annual meeting of the Ethics Network of Multilateral Organizations (ENMO) brought together over 100 senior ethics officers from more than 40 multilateral intergovernmental institutions. The conference, initiated by the UN organizations, the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is hosted every year by a different member organization. Due to the COVID-related travel restrictions and safety precautions, the event was held online.

The ENMO meeting provides a platform to share innovative practices and discuss issues of common concern related to institutional ethics. Participants shared their experience on key topics including effective ways of addressing harassment, innovations in ethics training, and prevention of retaliation.

The event was chaired by Kenneth Onyango, from the Ethics Office of the African Development Bank, and co-chaired by Jorge Dajani, Chief Ethics Officer of the World Bank Group, with Philip McMillan, Head of Ethics of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) acting as Vice-Chair.
