This event will launch the new World Bank study: Poland's Energy Transition – the Path to Sustainability in the Electricity and Heating Sector

  • The study explores pathways and policy recommendations for Poland to accelerate and scale-up its transition to cleaner sources of energy in its power and district heating sectors.

    This study aims to help reconcile the government’s concerns about signifcant air pollution in the country and Poland’s commitments to combat climate change. The study was requested by the government of Poland in the run-up to the COP 24 meeting and was conducted in close collaboration with the Polish Ministry of Environment.
