It is our pleasure to invite you to the official launch of the new edition of the World Bank’s semi-annual flagship publication, Global Economic Prospects. The findings of the report will be presented by the World Bank Development Economics Prospects Group Manager Franziska Ohnsorge, a lead author of the publication. The launch will take place on 15 January 2018 at 11.00 a.m. at Narodowy Bank Polski.

The January Global Economic Prospects presents a comprehensive forecast that examines the broad-based economic recovery underway around the world.
An analytical chapter questions whether the recent acceleration in activity can endure in light of the worrying global slowdown of potential output growth, and proposes remedies to halt and reverse this deceleration.
The report also presents detailed regional outlooks for emerging market and developing economies and reviews of the impact of the 2014-2016 oil prices collapse and its effects.
