Building upon the successful launch of the MENA Chapter of the Parliamentary Network in December 2016, which established a platform for dialogue and exchange among regional parliamentarians and World Bank and IMF experts, this second Parliamentary Network meeting will be an opportunity to reconvene parliamentarians from the region to engage with senior representatives of these two institutions on the most pressing development challenges in the region. The meeting will also be an occasion for MPs in the region to exchange views and share best practices. This year’s edition of the meeting will focus on the issues of education, the migration crisis, good governance, and inclusive growth among other topics.
