Purpose: The COTA-World Bank China Transport Forum is a joint event to be organized by COTA and the World Bank during the annual COTA China International Conference of Transportation Professionals (CICTP) conference since 2010. The purposes of the Forum are to (i) highlight critical challenges and opportunities in China’s transport development and (ii) share and discuss international and Chinese experience on transportation development including experiences from the Bank funded transport projects in China among COTA members, invited government officials, researchers, educators and practitioners from China.

The 6th COTA-WB China Transport Forum will be jointly organized by COTA, the World Bank and Ministry of Transport of China. This year’s forum will focus on transport economics and transportation for economic development in China and around world. It is a timely topic which links transportation and economic in a fast growing economy of the world. The forum will feature national and international experts on the topic to discuss range of issues related to transportation and economics as well as the economic development which is a core focus from Chinese government.
