World Bank President starts dialogue on values with German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development

World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim and German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Gerd Müller met with leading representatives of German faith-based organizations in Berlin.

World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim visited Berlin on May 13, 2014 to participate in a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the heads of the International Labour Organization (ILO), International Monetary Fund (IMF), Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and World Trade Organization (WTO) to discuss the current state of and challenges in the global economy. The participants also held a joint press conference and issued a joint press release. President Kim further met with new Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Gerd Müller and participated with him and leading representatives from German faith-based and civil society organizations in a roundtable discussion on religion, values, and sustainable development..
