The World Bank Group (WBG) is preparing a new Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Ethiopia. The CPF will guide the WBG’s engagement in Ethiopia over the next 10 years, aligning its support with the country’s development priorities and challenges.
As part of this process, the WBG is seeking input from a broad range of stakeholders to ensure the CPF reflects diverse perspectives and responds effectively to Ethiopia’s development context.
The new framework will seek to harness Ethiopia's immense potential by putting jobs and private sector-led growth front and center.
The proposed Country Partnership Framework is anchored in Ethiopia’s core economic challenge of creating jobs at scale, addressed through four strategic outcomes and supported by improved infrastructure as a foundational, cross‑cutting enabler.
Online Consultations - open from May 7 to May 14 2026
All submissions received within this period will be reviewed and considered during CPF preparation.
We welcome views and feedback from all interested parties, and we would be especially grateful for responses to these questions:
- What are the most important reform priorities for Ethiopia over the next ten years? And why?
- Do the CPF outcomes capture well the priorities for which there is a World Bank Group comparative advantage?
- Are there any critical areas or challenges that you feel are missing?
Your responses will be analyzed as part of the ongoing CPF online consultation process. Thank you for your contribution!
