Vikrant Kamble
Vikrant V Kamble is a Data Analyst with the World Bank Group's B-Ready Team, which he joined in April 2025. He is also a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Delaware, specializing in applied microeconomics with a focus on health economics, labor economics, and development economics.
Vikrant's research examines how economic shocks and policies affect health and labor market outcomes for vulnerable populations. His dissertation analyzes the impact of the 1973 Oil Embargo on infant health outcomes using rigorous causal inference methods and large-scale data. He has published peer-reviewed articles in Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives and Social Science Research.
He holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is proficient in Stata, R, and Python. Vikrant has presented his research at major conferences including the Southern Economic Association Annual Meeting and the APPAM Fall Research Conference.
