Leslie Malher-Akers

Leslie Malher-Akers is an Analyst with the Utility Services topic of the Business Ready Unit and has been a member of the Policy Indicators Group since 2020. She has contributed to multiple projects, including the Trading Across Borders indicator under the World Bank Group’s Doing Business initiative, the Employing Workers indicator, and the development of datasets for the Business Reform Committees project. Her expertise lies in the analysis and evaluation of utility infrastructure and regulatory frameworks for utility services on a global scale. Prior to joining the Policy Indicators Group, she worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Schar School of Policy and Government in Arlington, Virginia. She holds a Master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy from the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Concordia University in Montréal, Canada. Leslie speaks French.
