Adeola Akinremi

Adeola Akinremi is an Analyst with the Utility Services team in the Business Ready Unit of the World Bank’s Development Economics Policy Indicators Group. He joined the World Bank Group in January 2021. His work focuses on regulatory environments, institutional risk, communications, and stakeholder engagement, translating complex legislative and administrative processes into actionable insights for public- and private-sector decision-makers. Prior to joining B-READY, he worked on reputation and political risk at the World Bank Group. Earlier, he led government relations initiatives and supported international projects involving regulatory monitoring, data analysis, and cross-sector partnerships. His interests include regulatory transparency, early-stage policy signals, and the interaction between legal frameworks and business behavior, particularly in emerging markets. At B-READY, he contributes to improving measurement of the business environment by coordinating multi-economy data collection and integrating qualitative institutional analysis with structured data methodologies. He holds a Master’s in International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University, with a focus on governance and economic policy, and a Master’s in Project Development and Implementation from University of Ibadan.
