Valérie Levkov is the Vice President for Infrastructure at the World Bank Group (WBG), leading global efforts to advance sustainable infrastructure in developing and emerging economies. In this capacity, she drives initiatives that support the WBG’s priorities of job creation, climate resilience and private capital mobilization.

Her portfolio encompasses energy, minerals, transport, urban development, tourism, disaster risk management, and the integration of sustainable practices across all infrastructure sectors. She is also one of  the senior champions of Mission 300, an ambitious initiative to connect 300 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa to electricity by 2030.

Valérie joined the WBG in 2024 as Global Industry Director at IFC for the energy and minerals sectors, bringing more than three decades of experience from Électricité de France (EDF), where she held senior leadership positions including Senior Vice President for Africa and the Middle East. In that role, she led over 40 major energy projects across more than 10 African countries.

She holds Master’s degrees in Telecommunications from École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (Bretagne) and in Business and Procurement from Institut d’Administration des Entreprises (Grenoble).
