Tehmina Khan

Tehmina Khan is the Lead Economist for Viet Nam, Cambodia and Lao PDR at the World Bank, based in Hanoi. Previously, she served as Lead Economist for Ethiopia, Sudan, and South Sudan. She brings extensive experience as a macro- and country economist across East Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Eastern Europe, and previously served as a lead author of the World Bank’s flagship Global Economic Prospects report.

Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked at the International Monetary Fund and at Capital Economics in London. Her research interests span a wide range of topics, including labor and commodity markets and tax policy, and her work has been published in The Economic Journal. She holds an MPhil and a PhD in Economics from Nuffield College, University of Oxford.
