Suh Yoon Kang


Suh Yoon Kang is Operations Officer (ET Consultant) with the Fragility, Conflict, and Violence (FCV) Group, based in the WBG Korea Office. She joined the WBG Korea Office in September 2018. Suh Yoon supports the implementation of the Korea Trust Fund for Economic and Peacebuilding Transitions, facilitates partnerships between the World Bank and Korean institutions on FCV issues, and works on analytical products to support conflict sensitive strategies and operations. 

Since joining the Bank as a Junior Professional Officer in 2016, Suh Yoon has worked on UN-WB partnerships in FCV, including the updating of the UN-WB Partnership Framework in Crisis Affected Situations, and developing and managing the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Initiative. She has also worked on Northeast Nigeria operations support, and a number of analytical products, including the UN-WB flagship report “Pathways for Peace.” Before joining the Bank, Suh Yoon worked in UNICEF India country office working on education projects for out of school children, and school safety and security, and in World Vision working on area development programs in Bolivia, El Salvador and Guatemala. She holds a master’s degree in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Spanish from the Johns Hopkins University.
