Said Dahdah is the Program Manager of the Trust Funds for Safe and Sustainable Transport Unit. He oversees the Global Road Safety Facility (GRSF) and the Global Facility to Decarbonize Transport (GFDT). An internationally recognized transport and road safety expert, Said has over 20 years of experience in the transport sector, with expertise in policy dialogue, advisory services, program development, and portfolio management.
Throughout his career at the World Bank, Said has led numerous sustainable transport investment and advisory projects. Prior to his current role, Said has served as the Global Lead for Road Safety and head of GRSF. He has also worked as a Senior Transport Specialist in the Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, and Middle East , North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan regions, including field assignments in Islamabad and Riyadh where he served as the Program Leader for the Infrastructure Practice.
Said holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Transportation Safety from George Washington University.
