Marta Fernandez-Coppel, originally from Spain, joined the World Bank after serving as an Associate, Project Delivery at Palladium Group, where she supported USAID’s ECCE and EduFinance initiatives. She brings experience coordinating multi-country programs, overseeing financial and operational closeouts, and working with private and multilateral partners to mobilize development finance. Before Palladium, Marta worked with the United Nations Development Programme in Washington, DC, supporting policy engagement on humanitarian and economic development in Afghanistan. She has also held roles with Action Against Hunger, the Embassy of Spain, and several international NGOs. Marta holds a Master’s in International Relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS, with a focus on development and migration in Latin America. She is fluent in Spanish and conversational in French.
