Lydia Mesfin Asseres

Lydia Mesfin Asseres is the Senior Operations Officer for Papua New Guinea and is based in Port Moresby. Lydia, an Ethiopian national, joined the Bank in 2014 as a Short-Term Consultant in the Energy and Extractive Global Practice based in Ethiopia. She has since held various positions, including Operations Officer for The Gambia, Senior Operations Officer for Sierra Leone, and most recently, as Senior Operations Officer in the Ghana Country Office, based in Accra. In her current role, Lydia leads portfolio monitoring and coordination of actions for improving portfolio quality and performance and assisting the management with client and stakeholder relationships.
