Julien Vilquin is a team lead in the Regulatory Efficiency unit and a supervisor in the Global B-READY unit. He has led business regulation assessment projects across Central Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Western Europe. Before joining the Regulatory Efficiency team in 2015, he led the Employing Workers and Enforcing Contracts topics under the World Bank Group’s former Doing Business project. Vilquin holds law degrees from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the University of Lille 2, as well as from Georgetown University Law Center, and a master’s degree in management from EDHEC Business School. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, he practiced European and antitrust law at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Paris. He is admitted to the New York bar and qualified in Paris. He speaks French.
