José-Daniel Reyes

Senior Country Economist, Africa

Daniel Reyes is the Senior Country Economist for Cabo Verde. His areas of expertise include macroeconomics, international trade, foreign direct investment, and globalization. Reyes’ recent policy work focuses on firm-level responses to regulatory reforms aimed at improving the investment climate in developing countries, and he has experience in leading policy dialogue in Latin-America, Africa, and Asia. Prior to joining the World Bank Group in 2012, he worked for the Inter-American Development Bank and for the Colombian government. Reyes holds a M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University.
