Jos Verbeek, a Dutch national, was Manager and Special Representative to the UN and the WTO in Geneva. Mr. Verbeek joined the World Bank in 1992 in the International Economics Department. He has since held various positions, his most recent assignment being Adviser in the Senior Vice-President’s Office for the 2030 Development Agenda, United Nations Relations and Partnerships. Preceding this assignment, he worked as a country economist in the Africa and the European regions and managed the Global Monitoring Report, a joint WBG and IMF flagship measuring progress on the Millennium Development Goals.
