Joelle Dehasse

Since July 2026, Joelle Dehasse is the Operations Manager for Regional Programs in Africa, based in Washington, D.C., where she oversees a portfolio of regional integration operations across the continent.

Previously, Ms. Dehasse served as Operations Manager for Central America and the Dominican Republic, where she was responsible for overseeing a portfolio of 50 projects representing nearly US$6 billion in commitments across Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. She also served as the Representative for the institution in Panama, leading the management of the dialogue with the country's authorities.

A United States and Belgium national, Ms. Dehasse joined the World Bank in 1995 and has a wealth of experience managing teams and supporting country engagements and Bank operations in the regions of Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and North Africa, and Africa. Some of her most recent assignments include serving as Country Program Coordinator for the Maghreb and as Operations Officer for Togo (2015–2018) and Niger (2018–2022), in the Africa West and Central Region.
