Jean‑Martin Brault is Head of the Singapore Water Center (SWC) at the World Bank Group. He leads the Center’s work to mobilize knowledge, innovation, and partnerships from Singapore’s water ecosystem to support World Bank teams and client countries, with a focus on client‑driven knowledge exchange and capacity‑building aligned with the World Bank Group Water Strategy.

He joined the World Bank Group in 2010 and has led and supported lending operations, analytical work, and advisory services across Latin America and the Caribbean, West Africa, and the Middle East and North Africa. In recent years, he led the Global Digital Water Initiative, focusing on the digital transformation of water utilities and smart water management solutions. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, he worked in engineering consulting on water and wastewater treatment plant design and water quality monitoring programs in North and South America. He holds a PhD in wastewater engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada.
