Iryna Lagodna, a Ukrainian national, joined the Policy Indicators Group in 2018. Before her role with the Regulatory Efficiency unit, she worked on the design and implementation of the International Trade indicators for the global Business Ready project and previously covered the Trading across Borders topic with the Doing Business project. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, she worked on sustainable energy policies and projects at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva and on entrepreneurship and early-stage investing at a European trade association in Brussels. She holds a master’s degree in European economic studies from the College of Europe (Belgium), as well as a master’s degree in marketing and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Ukraine). She speaks Ukrainian, Russian, French, and Czech.
