Henriette von Kaltenborn-Stachau


Henriette von Kaltenborn-Stachau has been the World Bank’s Resident Representative for Libya since July 1, 2021. Prior to that assignment she served as a Senior Operations Officer in the World Bank’s Fragility, Conflict and Violence Unit in Nairobi, Kenya. Professionally focused on conflict affected countries, Henriette has worked in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Jerusalem, Somalia, Cambodia, East Timor, and Myanmar. Before joining the World Bank in 2007, Ms. von Kaltenborn-Stachau worked for the United Nations Department for Political Affairs.  A German national, Ms. von Kaltenborn-Stachau holds an M.A. in International Relations and International Economics from The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), an advanced degree in organizational psychology from the University of Darmstadt, and a postgraduate degree in Media Science from the University of Koblenz.
