Federico Baechli

Federico Baechli is the Senior Country Officer for Barbados, Belize, and Caribbean OCTs in the World Bank’s Caribbean Country Management Unit. Mr. Baechli is responsible for developing country programs, building and overseeing the portfolios and pipelines, and managing strategic engagements and policy discussions with client governments and stakeholders.

Prior to this he served as Senior Operations Officer in the Office of the Regional Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean, World Bank.  He also served in the World Bank’s Operations Policy and Country Services (OPCS). Previously, Mr. Baechli held various positions in the World Bank Group’s Corporate Secretariat (SEC), focusing on development effectiveness and governance.

He holds a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and International Business from The George Washington University School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Denison University. Mr. Baechli currently resides in Kingston, Jamaica, where the Caribbean Country Management Unit is based.
