Daniel Gerszon Mahler is a Senior Economist in the Development Data Group, where he is part of the Global Poverty and Inequality Data Team, which co-produces the Poverty and Inequality Platform (PIP). His research interests include the measurement of poverty and fairness, and their interaction with climate change.
Daniel has published in journals such as Nature, Journal of Development Economics, and World Development. Daniel was a core team member of the 2021 World Development Report: Data for Better Lives.
He holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, and a M.Sc. in Political Science and Political Economy from the London School of Economics.
