Christine Divov, CFA, FRM


Christine manages the World Bank Treasury Banking operations team which is responsible for providing banking services to the World Bank Group.  The banking team is responsible for processing over $6 trillion of transactions a year, managing relationships with over 400 banks including the World Bank’s SWIFT infrastructure, and performing key investigation, reconciliation and accounting controls including KYC/CFT and sanctions screening.

Christine has over 20 years of professional finance experience which includes a diverse portfolio of roles in addition to her current position. Prior to joining the World Bank Treasury Banking Operations team, she was the Adviser to the Office of World Bank Treasurer, where she supported the Treasurer running the World Bank Treasury.  Before that, she spent 4 years in the Capital Markets Department team working on the investor relations desk including managing relationships with bond investors and rating agencies, and developing new debt products for investors, including the World Bank Green Bonds and Sustainable Development Bonds. Christine also worked in the World Bank Treasury Operations department supporting both the World Bank’s lending and investment operations from 2005 to 2008.  In between her Treasury capital markets and Treasury operations assignments, she spent 5 years working for the International Development Association (IDA) –the World Bank’s concessional lending arm- leading work designing innovative financing solutions to mobilize resources for IDA’s operations among other corporate finance responsibilities.  She started her career at the World Bank Group with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) after working for State Street Bank in London from 2002 to 2004.

Christine qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa working for Deloittes from 1999 to 2001.
