Bjorn Philipp


Björn Philipp is the Andean Countries Program Leader for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure at the World Bank. He is responsible for coordinating the Bank’s investment, policy and advisory program across the infrastructure and sustainable development sectors in Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru.

Prior to that, he served as Program Leader for Sustainable Development at the World Bank's office in Jerusalem, and as Senior Urban Specialist in the Middle East and North Africa, and Europe and Central Asia regions.

Björn has been with the World Bank for more than 15 years. He has led the design, development and implementation of multiple investment operations, technical assistance and analytical activities at the cross-section of infrastructure, basic service delivery and sub-national development. Björn holds a Master degree in Public Administration and International Development from the University of Leipzig, Germany.
