Andrew Kircher

Resident Representative of The World Bank Group in Honduras

A U.S. national, Andrew Kircher joined the World Bank Group in 1999 as a Communications Officer following a career in journalism. Since then, he has held several positions, including United Nations Program Coordinator, Senior Operations Officer in Latin America and the Western Balkans, and Manager of External Relations for the Middle East and North Africa, as well as Europe and Central Asia. He also served as an advisor to the President of the World Bank Group.

Andrew holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Public Affairs from the American University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Miami. Throughout his career, he has worked in numerous countries, collaborating with teams on complex development projects and managing partnerships with bilateral donors and United Nations agencies.

In his current role in Honduras, Andrew serves as the joint representative of the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA). In this capacity, he leads the World Bank Group’s efforts in the country to deliver more integrated development solutions, enhance operational efficiency and impact, and better support public and private sector priorities.
