Andrea August

Andrea August, a Croatian national, joined the team in 2023 as Senior Country Consultant and now leads the Business Entry topic. Previously, she held prominent roles in the Croatian government, including Director for Business Environment Reform at the Agency for Investments and Competitiveness and Manager of OSS-HITRO.HR, and represented Croatia in the UNCITRAL Working Group on SMEs and the EU Better Regulation Network. During eight years with the World Bank, she has experience in EU projects on digital public services and regulatory reforms to improve RIA, business registration, and licensing at national and regional level. Andrea holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business and project management from Croatia and is completing a second master’s in European business at a University in Slovenia. She speaks Croatian, German, Spanish, Serbian, and Bosnian.
