Alari Mahdi

Alari Mahdi is a Senior Private Sector Development Specialist at the World Bank Group with over ten years of experience advancing private and financial sector reforms. She provides expert technical advice on investment climate reform, SME development and entrepreneurship, SME finance, and financial inclusion.

She has played a central role in expanding the Finance, Competitiveness, and Innovation portfolio in the West Africa region, contributing to major analytical reports and leading high-level client engagement and project supervision. Her work is grounded in building strong public–private partnerships and promoting economic opportunities for women and youth.

Alari holds an MSc in Development Management and a BA in International Relations from the University of Birmingham, UK.
