Agustín Carbó, an Argentine national, joined the World Bank’s Regulatory Efficiency team in 2025 as a Consultant for the Distributed Solar topic under the sectoral workstream and the Electricity topic under the Subnational B-READY program. Before joining the World Bank, Agustín served as Research Manager at Power for All, where he led data-driven projects on decentralized renewable energy, including the Utilities 2.0 initiative and several value-chain studies in Sub-Saharan Africa. He previously worked at CAF and at FIEL in Argentina, contributing to research on energy transitions, human development, economic policy, and regional energy integration. He also teaches economics at Universidad Austral. Agustín holds a master’s degree in economics from Universidad San Andres, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad de Buenos Aires. He speaks Spanish.
