Ulla-Stina Henttonen, a Finnish national, joined the Regulatory Efficiency team in 2024. She previously worked with the World Bank Group as a consultant in 2021–2022 on the Subnational Investment Climate Assessment for Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. She is currently pursuing a PhD in international relations at the University of Tampere, and has prior experience in the private sector and research organizations on transatlantic relations, technology policy, public affairs, and communications. Henttonen holds a master’s degree in international relations and international economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC, and a bachelor’s degree from Malmö University in Sweden. In addition to her native Finnish, she is proficient in Italian and French and has intermediate working knowledge of Spanish and Swedish.
