The World Bank funded Serbian Competitive Agriculture Project (SCAP) aims to strengthen Serbia’s agriculture through innovation; digitalization; and climate-smart practices; enhancing productivity; transparency; and resilience while promoting sustainable; modern farming.The State of Israel; through its Ministries of Finance; and Agriculture; contributed to the FoodSystems 2030 Multi Donor Trust Fund (FS2030) to help World Bank and IFC clients advance digital technology and ag-tech ecosystems. The contribution aims to share Israel’s innovation and expertise to strengthen agri-food value chains by boosting productivity; transparency; and resilience while reducing emissions.Consultant services are sought to support SCAP; in partnership with the Government of Israel; in piloting a capacity-building program for Serbia’s National Network of Agricultural Advisory Services (PSSS); the key link between farmers and innovation. The program will strengthen PSSS by equipping advisors with advanced training and exposure to leading Israeli and global agri-tech practices; enhancing their ability to adopt and promote technologies such as precision farming; digital tools; IoT; and AI-based resource management; and enabling them to guide thousands of farmers in implementing modern agricultural solutions.
