RESOURCE PERSONSMs. Sandra I. LIM Ms. Sandy I. Lim, Training Officer of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP), joined the association in November1988 as Administrative Assistant. In 1993, she was transferred to the Training and Development Unit where she assumed the position of Training and Development Specialist in charge of coordinating various regional training programs of the association. Prior to joining ADFIAP, she was the training specialist at the Development Finance Institute, training arm of the Private Development Corporation of the Philippines (PDCP), also a member of ADFIAP. Her 16 years exposure in various local and international programs provided her with the necessary skills and knowledge to assist in ADFIAP's training mission of developing the training capability of its member banks; developing new training programs in collaboration with its members as well as promoting and conducting workshops, seminars and related training events such as ADFIAP Annual Conferences, Bankers' congress, Chief Executive Officers Policy Meetings, fora and symposia. Cognizant of the importance of executive and study missions, Ms. Lim has arranged various study missions where members visit fellow members in order to share experiences and expertise. She was also a member of the ADFIAP/AIM team requested by the Economic Development Institute to conduct the training needs assessment in 24 well-established private and government training institutions in several countries in Asia to gather data on the needs of institutions in the region. TNA results served to provide valuable inputs in the design and conduct of the "International Workshop on Strategic Management and Marketing of Training", a collaborative activity organized by the Economic Development Institute of the World Bank (EDI-WB), ADFIAP and the Asian Institute of Management (AIM).
