RESOURCE PERSONSProf. Danila-Regina Isaac FOJAS Prof. Danila-Regina Isaac Fojas is a member of the core faculty of the Master in Business Management Program and concurrently Marketing Director of the International Relations unit of the Institute. She teaches Global Marketing, a second year MBM elective. Before joining AIM, Prof. Fojas was Assistant Vice President for Corporate Strategic Marketing of San Miguel Corporation. As head of a key unit in the company's Corporate Marketing Directorate, she spearheaded programs and initiatives that enhanced the marketing organizational competency and structural development of its various operating units and divisions, particularly in the areas of brand management, brand equity development and strategic marketing management. She conceptualized and established the SMBG Marketing School, and defined its brand management curriculum. She was on the faculty of both the School and the SMC Management Training Center where she handled modules on strategic marketing and brand equity management. Her marketing expertise was developed primarily at the San Miguel Corporation where, since 1979, she assumed various marketing positions in its Philippines, Indonesia and Hong Kong beer operations. From her entry position as staff assistant to the Marketing Director of SMC's Beer Division, she moved up the corporate ladder to become a full-fledged brand management and strategic marketing specialist, as well as an officer of the company. Prof. Fojas assumed increasing marketing responsibilities in SMC's Beer Group over a span of almost twenty years. Her various assignments included stints in brand management in the Philippines and Indonesia, the management of SMBG's various international marketing operations and subsidiaries, as well as the management of San Miguel's beer brand portfolio across all its markets. Prof. Fojas has also been involved in the field of advertising in Indonesia. She was the Marketing and Account Director of the PT Prima Maskom Advertising and took charge of the agency's corporate strategy and assisted clients in their respective marketing strategies and programs. At Amherst-Fusion Phils. Inc., she was Assistant Vice President for Project Evaluation and concurrently Executive Assistant to the President. She was responsible for managing investment projects as well as marketing them to potential investors, financial institutions and government agencies. An AIM alumna and the first female to graduate with honors, she completed her Master in Business Management with Distinction in 1978. She participated in the one-year advanced top management course in economics and business development given by the University of Asia and the Pacific in 1993.
