Country Case Studies

Country case studies have been developed to document in greater depth experiences that countries have had in applying a PBC approach to manage and maintain roads. Each study includes further details on data shown in the Country Matrix, as well as an account of the starting conditions, the stimulus for change, preparation and tendering, the key aspects of the decision-making process, rewards/penalties and supervision arrangements to ensure contractor’s compliance, the present results and lessons learnt.

At the end of each case study, links are provided to additional sources of data.
