PRODUCT 5. The Set of Preliminary Average and Range Unit Costs, which is the main output of the system, provides costs for a selected number of predominant work activities in the selected single currency (US dollars) and single reference date (year 2000).

ROCKS also provides unit costs per m2 calculated based on the width of the main carriageway, and excluding the width of shoulders, bicycle lanes or median. The system generates average and range unit costs per m2 for some work activities.

These unit costs represent an order of magnitude of actual costs and care should be taken on using these costs for analytical purposes, because these costs are global averages of estimates, contracts or actual costs on different countries on different regions of the world and because of the limited number of data points stored on the database so far. Once more information is collected, more refined statistics will be prepared. Display or download in MS-Excel the set of preliminary average and range unit costs estimated up to 09/09/02, which include some statistics by world region.
